About us
newyorkcitycard.com is a multilingual comparison and research site for the New York sightseeing passes. The cards compared here are the New York Pass, the Explorer Pass and the Essentials Pass from Go City, plus the New York CityPASS and the C3 from City Pass, Inc. The two issuers build their products differently: Go City counts either days or attractions, while the New York CityPASS pairs a set of fixed attractions with a few you choose and runs nine days from your first visit. None of these cards includes a fare for subway or bus. The site is run by neither issuer.
In New York the sum comes down to two figures: how many of the expensive observation decks and museums you can realistically manage in a day, and whether you want a ready-made selection or a free choice. For each card we set out which houses are included and which are missing, how long the usage window runs, and at what visiting pace a day pass overtakes an attraction pass. The subway ticket is extra with every one of them, and so is the airport transfer. For two or three sights, single tickets usually work out cheaper.

What this site is not
newyorkcitycard.com is an independent comparison, not the official website of Go City and not that of City Pass, Inc. We are not a general New York travel guide and not a hotel portal, and we deliberately leave out hotel booking and tickets that have no connection to a sightseeing pass. Into the comparison we take only cards that are actually sold for New York. We do not sell them ourselves: you buy from the issuer or its booking channel, where the current prices, availability and terms apply. Our claims about each pass are checked against the official provider pages.
